P2P payments
P2P payments mean accepting money as a transfer from the buyer's card or account to the details of an individual or agent instead of classic acquiring.
In a P2P flow the buyer sees a card, account or phone number on the payment page and makes a normal transfer from their bank. The provider confirms receipt and credits the merchant. The scheme is used where classic acquiring is unavailable or expensive for the niche.
Pros are high approval and a checkout buyers already know. Cons are regulatory risk: banks and regulators in many countries fight mass collection on personal cards, so you need to understand how the provider structures the flow.
Before connecting P2P, check settlement time, limits, refund handling and what happens if payment details get blocked.
